There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven (Eccl. 3:1).There are time to live and die, time to laugh and cry, time to struggle and time of victory. God sees me through each of these times, the seasons of life.

I Am Tagging Myself

I've seen this tag-along game where you have to share 8 interesting and little known stuff about you from other people's blogs. Since nobody tagged me in this blogsphere realm, I decided to make myself known, freely and willingly to the whole world wide web :)

A Girl with Pearl Earrings

Yup, that is me! My interest on pearl earrings picked just lately - not sure how. But I started liking them a lot of their simple yet lush and elegant texture.

Californication

Finally, it's official.

I bought my plane ticket this afternoon. I should be there in LA on March 13th onward. New season of life. New chapter in life.

Thanks for those of you who have shared my short journey here in the East Coast thus far. You've shared my tears and laughters while I'm in this area. A picture that which was never seen before and which shall never be seen again. I have arrived at another station of my life now. I will definitely cherish all the memories.

Jesus, take the wheel... I can't do this on my own.

Wedding Frenzy

I should be looking forward to two of my very good friends' future weddings this year and another next year where I will be a wedding attendant. Two of which would present a privilege for me of becoming a maid of honor. It's a pleasure - I answered when a close friend of mine told me today that they got engaged very recently and asked me about my willingness to take that 'role'.

That being said, that made me a wedding attendant for a total not less than 8 times! Yes you read it right, EIGHT!! I hope and pray one day I would get to a place where I actually would be the bride instead of just attendants..hehehe.

And ooohhh... a sister suggested me that I should probably start doing this for a living since my wedding-attending market is in high demand. I might need to start charging if you want me to be there in your wedding ;)

Sermon Notes

A dear friend shared his Sunday notes for us in our group's email list. It's just something I needed to hear today/in this brief season. A great reminder for the worry hearts.

Just In Time

The grace of God is always enough, but sometimes it comes just in time.
My wife has a Scripture verse that sits on the window sill over the
kitchen sink that always affects me. It's Joshua 5:12...

And the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

Have you ever had that sense that God provides grace just in time to make it through a certain situation. That's what he did with the Israelites. The manna continued just long enough to get them into the land of Canaan. That's what this last Sunday seemed like to me.

Here's a quick picture of the challenges of the day...

1-1st Service was cancelled due to snow.

2-2nd Service was cancelled due to snow.

3-5pm Service was announced, but only 1/3 of the tech crew could
serve. Somehow we had a full crew by the start of the service, though.

4-At the last minute, a kids song was added to the songlist, which maxed out our wireless capacity (which was already having problems) and caused unexpected issues for the lighting team.

5-We had no camera director until ten minutes before the service began.

6-Jeff Purswell sent me his main points 5 minutes before the service, but I didn't see them. It wasn't until fifteen minutes into the service that I got to my email. And then I realized he hadn't actually attached the points. He ended up typing them into my computer from the front row of the auditorium, and then I ran up to my office to enter them into SundayPlus. The lyrics ops loaded them for the first time as Jeff was walking up to the pulpit.

7-I did a very poor job explaining the lighting plan to poor Josh Carroll. We finally finished getting the lights set up around 4:55PM.

8-The camera 3 cable harness got torn apart at some point. Camera 3 was working and white-balanced at 4:58PM.

9-Our internet connection died, which means the credit cards in the bookstore wouldn't work. And this was the release date for CJs new book, which Josh announced from the pulpit. Joe Moorman had to do some really funky networking using the DOS command line and a dial-up connection on his laptop in order to make the credit cards work. Of course, this was completely working only five minutes before the
message ended.

10-We accidentally forgot to set up a TV in the noisy babies room, but then Josh announced that too, so people were wandering around the first floor looking for the TV room.

Anyway, it was so cool because on so many occasions the problems didn't actually get fixed until the moment that piece was needed. That was the case for the sermon notes on the screen, the internet connection, the camera director, the lighting programming, camera 3 operation, and probably other things

I forgot about in the scurry. ----> Isn't God faithful?!? He made it all happen. And just in time!

First Football Game

I watched football for the first time today. Learned bits and pieces - still don't know much but I managed to enjoying the game. Hehehe :) Eventhough I didn't care for either the Seahawks or the Steelers - I was happy that the Steelers was the champ of this year's Superbowl (21-10. Woo hoo!). Why, you ask? Cause I simply like their name. LOL.

Well, I look forward to watching more football games in the future :)

An Anecdote : Saying Goodbye

Eyes met, passions lit, minds were intrigued;
Though differences were clues not to be ignored,
we managed to brush them aside.
Yet finally, season changes
and leads us go our separate ways.
Another riddles of life that leaves me without answers.

So long. 'Til we cross our paths again.
Someday somehow, if only.

Goodbye to You
Michelle Branch

Of all the things I believe in
I just want to get it over with
tears from behind my eyes
but I do not cry
Counting the days that past me by

I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
Looks like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend and I say

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I love
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems like I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes till you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light but it's not right

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

Ohhh yeah
It hurts to want everything & nothing at the same time
I want whats yours and I want whats mine
I want you but I'm not giving in this time

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

We the stars fall and I lie awake
Your my shooting star
